Aside from connectivity, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is identical to the 4G model. Toss in that 90Hz screen and you should definitely expect shorter endurance in theory than the 4G-enabled OnePlus 7 Pro. The news means another big carrier name promising shelf-space to OnePlus, not to mention the fourth 5G device for Sprint itself.
The OnePlus 5G phone may be released but to be honest, access may still be limited.
While the OnePlus 7 Pro in the USA does not feature 5G connectivity, the device rumored for the fall - potentially named the OnePlus 7T - is expected to add the feature.
Sprint 5G is now available in parts of Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Kansas City, and it said it expects to launch in areas of Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix and Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks.
Sprint hasn't named the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G specifically but given that it's OnePlus' only 5G smartphone, there are just no other candidates.
The hope is that Sprint's first OnePlus phone will still be competitively priced, despite it being one of the carrier's 5G options.
"We value OnePlus reputation for balancing high-end quality at a great value", said Dow Draper, Sprint chief commercial officer. Sprint has launched 5G in five cities, and has announced plans to launch in four more in the "coming weeks".
Sprint, whose 5G service is priced at $80 per month, is already offering 5G smartphones from Taiwan's HTC and South Korean mobile makers, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd and LG Display.
