Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 announced, but be prepared to wait

Posted August 01, 2019

The Galaxy Tab S6 is thinner when compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S4.

It also sports a gorgeous 10.5-inch AMOLED display with an integrated fingerprint scanner, and four speakers that promise to deliver high-quality audio for your favorite games and movies. The device is down to 5.7mm thick and weighs 420 grams. Its body is constructed from a single piece of aluminium for strength (so the glass rear is a thing of the past), and there's a uniform modest sized bezel surrounding the screen.

The S-Pen now magnetically attaches to the Tab S6, thanks to an indent on the back, and it also supports wireless charging, so you can just attach the S-Pen to the Tab S6 and it'll begin charging, providing you with 10 hours of S-Pen usage with just 10 minutes of charging. The tablet comes in three gorgeous colors - Cloud Blue, Rose Blush, and Mountain Gray with a matching S pen. This would be welcome news for Android users, as there is now no smartwatch on the market for them with ECG capabilities, given the Apple Watch is iPhone-only. You can also shoot 4K videos with it at 30fps. Because Samsung products leak in full weeks before they are ever official, we know these two products to be the Galaxy Tab S6 and Galaxy Watch Active 2.

Inside is a 7,040mAh battery, but that's not the only battery.

Gamers will enjoy the enhanced performance of Unity- and Unreal-based games brought about by the new processing power. The device will ship on September 6th, and anyone who buys before September 22nd will get 50% off the keyboard cover. The keyboard doesn't seem much different to the Tab S5e.

DeX isn't new to the Galaxy Tab S6; Samsung has been offering it for a while now on its flagship smartphones and tablets.

Theoretically this makes the tablet a little more like a PC, but it's still an Android device at heart.

It features an 8MP front-facer and a dual-camera system on the back consisting of a 13MP shooter and a 5MP unit. There is a bit of a bump around the camera, but if the tablet's in a case you won't notice it. Tablets aren't known for their camera prowess, so anything above and beyond "standard" will be welcome. Memory and storage configurations available are 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, or 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
