Cowboys, Cobb agree to one-year deal

Cobb is a class act on and off the field, and it's fair to say that all Green Bay Packers fans will be wishing him all the best in the 2019 season, even if he is playing for the Dallas Cowboys!

The deal is worth $5 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Cobb fills a void in the slot for the Cowboys after they lost Cole Beasley to the Buffalo Bills in free agency.

Glazer posted on Twitter that the Dallas Cowboys have signed the Bay receiver. The official schedule should be out in the next month.

Cobb was sidelined for the majority of the 2018 campaign after suffering a hamstring injury and a concussion.

But from 2012-2017, he caught at last 60 passes five times, including a high of 91 catches for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014 when he made the Pro Bowl.

Cobb spent the first eight years of his National Football League career with the Green Bay Packers, though he was limited to nine games last season because of a hamstring injury and a concussion.

In a NFC Wild Card Game against the New York Giants in 2016, Cobb hauled in a 42-yard touchdown off a Hail Mary before halftime in the Packers' eventual 38-17 victory. The Cowboys were forced to attempt the receiver by committee approach as the roster did not have a true number one receiver.

"When he's healthy and playing for us, our offense is a lot different", Rodgers had said of Cobb before the season. But he's never been able to hit that form consistently since, and he's also only played in all 16 regular season games once since re-signing four years ago.
