Meghan Markle visits animal charity Mayhew and gala benefit with Prince Harry

Duchess Meghan, due in April, met with staff, volunteers and beneficiaries to hear more about their various initiatives, from community engagement to worldwide projects.

Well, thankfully, the Duchess had a great sense of humor about the remark and responded, "I'll take it!" while laughing!

The 37-year-old was visiting staff and volunteers at her new patronage, the animal charity Mayhew, in London on Wednesday when one woman made a bold comment about the mom-to-be's body.

On 10 January, Kensington Palace announced Meghan will become the patron of four different charities.

Meghan has taken up the post of Patron to support the education and animal welfare work of Mayhew.

"Her Royal Highness feels she can use her position to focus attention on, and make a particular difference to these organisations and, more widely, the sectors they each represent".

The move's already been applauded online as showing the Duchess' desire to keep a common touch for her time in the Royal family.

Meghan rescued her dog Guy from a shelter in 2015 and she and Harry are believed to have adopted a second pup a year ago. The animal welfare organisation uses public donations to improve the lives of dogs, cats and people who live locally and internationally.

It was a two engagement day for Royal Meghan - tonight she and Prince Harry are at the Cirque du Soleil Totem for a gala benefit in support of Sentebale.

Meghan revealed earlier this week she is six months pregnant with her baby due around the end of April beginning of May.
