An "entirely new" antenna design pairs with a "powerful" 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip to provide a "more seamless 4K UHD streaming experience" in a slightly heftier package than before that. still looks like a diminutive stick.

The company claims that the remote can control power and volume on thousands of televisions, apart from Fire TV devices in India. However, Amazon has been making its entire Prime Video content available in 4K, giving an option on why users should purchase the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K in India.

The new Alexa Voice Remote allows you to control your compatible TV and AV equipment, switch inputs, or tune to a channel on a cable box with a single remote. This improved performance should result in faster menu navigation and app switching, but more importantly it enables 4K video streaming when the Fire TV Stick only supports video up to 1080p. Amazon is also selling the new remote separately as it works with some of the other Fire TV products, so you can make use of the new power button and volume controls if you are willing to spend $29.99.

The new stick is the first to support both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, the company said. In addition, the device features 4K Ultra HD playback capabilities with support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG high dynamic range formats. It will start shipping on November 14, 2018 in the UK.
