Jurgen Klopp Compares Liverpool to Rocky, Manchester City to Ivan Drago

Jurgen Klopp's defeated Champions League finalists are widely backed as contenders to dethrone Manchester City from the summit of the Premier League this season and Pellegrini will be aware of the major task in front of his side. We had three points from City [when we beat them in January] and they had three points from us [when they beat us in September].

The ESPN Luck Index is a comprehensive research project commissioned by ESPN in partnership with Intel, carried out by the University of Bath, to examine how the Premier League would look if luck were not a factor. They wanted to invest money to bring in players.

"Somebody told me we were the unluckiest team".

Klopp insists, though, that Liverpool will do their utmost in 2018-19 to try and earn the club its first ever Premier League title. You have to think who will play or not.

However, Pellegrini is wary of the threats that Liverpool have across their ranks and will not have a special plan in effect to keep Salah under the radar.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Brazilian global was in line to make his competitive debut for the Reds on Sunday, but has been unable to shake off a knock picked up during his side's friendly win over Torino earlier in the week. They have Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Xherdan Shaqiri.

The 21-year-old Nathaniel Phillips made three showings in the International Champions Cup in pre-season and started at Anfield in the club's final warm-up game ahead of the season opener against Torino.

"The scan was clear, I heard you all know he had a scan so maybe at one point we can change that as well", Klopp said.

With nine senior arrivals and a summer that saw the Hammers smash their club-record twice, West Ham look well prepared for the new campaign.

"I don't think too much about it".

"We had to create a squad which is strong enough and wide enough to cope with the Premier League and to be as successful as possible. The board have worked very well and we have a competitive squad". In the last few years I sat here and had to defend our transfer behaviour: that we sold more than we brought in.

"We can improve everything: we can improve our offensive game, we can improve our defensive game". We are the ones that have to do more, to fight more, to do all these things.
