BCCI has been receiving a lot of flak for including Anushka in the Team India picture.
Anushka and Virat Kohli, who got married on 11 December a year ago, have been at the centre of controversies many times.
Team India on Tuesday visited the Indian High Commission in London, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The reason she is the odd one out is because as per sources, the BCCI had apparently prohibited the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of the Indian cricket players from accompanying them till the end of the third Test against England.
User Nishant asked, "Why @BCCI allows someones wife at official tour...." But what irked cricket fans was Anushka standing in the front row alongside Kohli.
Anushka's presence however, seems to be helping Kohli in the Test series as he smashed his maiden hundred in England even though it came in a lost cause in the first Test at Edgbaston last week.
The vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was left behind in the last row.
BCCI posted pictures and a video of Virat Kohli hitting the nets and having a knock.
Meanwhile, Team India will be hoping to level the Test series in Lord's as the two teams meet in the second match of the ongoing five-Test rubber from Thursday.
The two were slammed in social media when the actor posted a video of her scolding man who was trying to litter the street.
