Now that she is doing better they are adamant to get her the help she needs.
Demi Lovato is reportedly expected to leave the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles sometime this week.
Demi is now recovering in hospital in Los Angeles, and is apparently suffering from a very high fever and extreme nausea, but reports say that she is "expected to make a full recovery".
Following her hospitalization, her representative said in a statement: "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support".
TMZ reports that Lovato's bodyguard arrived at the singer's Hollywood Hills home to her assistant screaming, "She's dead!"
According to a People source on Friday, the decision to get help was "her choice", and it was not "forced".
"Wilmer is relieved and grateful Demi has agreed to check into a rehab", a source close to the actor told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.
The bodyguard reportedly rushed to Lovato's side and propped her up, as well as attempted to clear her airways so she could breathe.
"He fears for her well-being and knows that rehab is her best shot at recovering from her awful ordeal", the source continued.
"She understands the severity of her overdose and the recovery has been very challenging for he".
