Harry Maguire sends message to Jose Mourinho over summer transfer

Manchester United Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho is considering tabling a £65million offer for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.

Manchester United have not hit top gear on their pre-season tour of the United States but manager Jose Mourinho has said he is not anxious as a majority of his first team players are yet to rejoin the squad following the World Cup.

Do the Foxes have the finances?

Harry Maguire is on Manchester United's radar.

The Leicester City centre-back shone brightly in the Premier League last season and his exploits during the World Cup in a Three Lions jersey has seen his popularity soar even more.

Claude Puel has considered potential replacements regardless with Barcelona's Yerry Mina and Gary Cahill both discussed.

Mourinho, the United manager, is thought to be happy with his options at full back and wants to sign Maguire, the centre back, who is valued at more than £50 million after his impressive performances with England at the World Cup this summer.

Mourinho has been in a downbeat mood ever since his side touched down Stateside, due to being without a huge amount of first-team regulars, who are now on holiday after their exploits at this summers World Cup in Russian Federation.

Can Tottenham Hotspur sign Anthony Martial?

The French frontman impressed for the Red Devils in their opening game of their U.S. tour (a 1-1 draw with Club America in Phoenix), and Mourinho hasn't given up on the 22-year-old despite his inconsistency in the past.

And for the last couple of weeks, the Maguire-to-Old-Trafford rumour has been bubbling away nicely without any official word from anyone. until now.
