In their five previous meetings in friendlies and qualifiers, both sides have won two and drawn one.

The model knows Croatia cruised to three victories to top Group D, which included a 3-0 thumping of Lionel Messi and Argentina. The Vatreni breezed through the group stages, thumping Argentina 3-0 in the process, and Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic have looked particularly impressive.

But three minutes later Croatia were level, a neat build-up on the right resulting in an Andre Rebic cross that was half-cleared and rebounded to Mario Mandzukic, who steered it beyond Schmeichel.

Subs: Livakovic, Corluka, Kovacic, Kramaric, Jedvaj, Bradaric, Caleta-Car, Badelj, Pjaca, Pivaric, Lovre Kalinic.

Denmark took the lead with only a minute on the clock, Jonas Knudsen's long throw causing havoc and Mathias Jorgensen's scuffed shot only helped in off the post by keeper Danijel Subasic.

Subs: Lossl, Krohn-Dehli, Vestergaard, Kvist, Nicolai Jorgensen, Dolberg, Fischer, Larsen, Lerager, Schone, Sisto, Ronnow. Having scored just two goals in navigating their way out of Group C as runners-up, the Danes expect to open up on Sunday.

Luka Modric insists his midfield battle with Christian Eriksen will be just a sub-plot when Croatia and Denmark clash for a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.

Hareide made his remarks at a press conference ahead of Sunday's last-16 match against Croatia, reports Efe. With the "Fubo Premier" bundle, you will get access to all four of the World Cup soccer TV channels in most markets.

Hareide pointed out that Croatia is a team that can defend and attack well with a flexible group of players who are able to adapt to different situations.

"I don't like to compare players, particularly to myself", Modric said when asked about the duel.

Eight Croatia players are one booking away from a one-match ban, but this will not impact selection.

Croatia are expected to make wholesale changes to their starting line up for their World Cup Round of 16 tie against Denmark.

31 minute: Corner for Denmark. "What awaits us is a very hard match. Kasper is a great goalkeeper and I'm not surprised by his great level", Kjaer said.

Meanwhile, Denmark has reached the knockout stage for the fourth time in its fifth World Cup appearance.

Ivan Perisic takes and it hits the wall.
