Voting today? Everything you need to know for the Kentucky primary election

Tiara Chambliss is voting in her first primary on Tuesday, and a few issues are drawing her to polls.

This is key on Election Day, officials say, because a number of polling places have changed.

Anyone who doesn't have one of those IDs, and can't get one before voting, may show another form of identification and fill out a "reasonable impediment declaration".

The polls in Kentucky close at 6 p.m. local time.

With this important election, Dougherty County Elections office is concerned about the turnout.

Not claim the right to vote anywhere outside Kentucky.

Voters who have recently moved needed to update their voter registration information by April 23, 2018.

Not only is this election the primary for the governor's race, it will also decide multiple county leaders and possibly set a tax for cannabis businesses in parts of the county.

Poll workers say it's not required for Texans to bring their voter registration cards to vote, but it is helpful.

Paper registration forms are also available throughout San Luis Obispo County at the following locations: Post Offices, City Halls, libraries, banks, notary offices, utility companies, DMV and the County Clerk-Recorder's office in San Luis Obispo and Atascadero. Those unsure of their registration status can check it at the same website.
