The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted former Oklahoma State University quarterback Mason Rudolph in the third round of the NFL Draft Friday night. Washington is already familiar with Heinz Field. Updates with Steelers drafted offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor with second pick of third round.

Roethlisberger, 36, committed instantly to the 2018 season following last year's playoff loss to the Jaguars and has told players and some of the front-office personnel that he would like to play at.

"I knew it as soon as I got selected, like, I can't wait, it'll be fun", Rudolph said.

Rudolph set 54 school records during his time at Oklahoma State and at 6-foot-5, 235-pounds is similar to Roethlisberger in terms of size. He the first OSU quarterback selected in an National Football League draft since Brandon Weeden was taken in the first round in 2012.

"I'm a little done with the comparison questions", Rudolph said.

The Steelers selected him with the 60th overall selection, immediately filling the void created when Pittsburgh dealt talented but enigmatic Martavis Bryant to Oakland on Thursday.

The Steelers' first preseason game is August 9 at Philadelphia. He's much more polished than either of those guys were upon being drafted.

He joins an impressive group of Steelers receivers in Antonio Bell and 2017 first round draft pick Juju Smith-Schuster.

Although they selected Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield with the first overall pick, the Browns could add another QB on Day Three.
