"LeT militants abducted Manzoor Ahmed Bhat and his father, Abdul Gaffar, after barging into their house and assaulting their family members", Hindustan Times quoted a police spokesperson as saying.
Dead body of a youth was found today in Gandbal area of Hajin in north Kashmir Bandipora district who was abducted Wednesday night by suspected militants.
"Fortunately, the father of the killed youth somehow managed to escape from the clutches of his terrorists who abducted him along with his son", said an official who added that he sufferred a bullet injury and was now being treated for that in a hospital. The body was recovered on Friday morning by the police.
This is the second act of brutality by the terrorists in Hajin. "Four to five foreign militants, along with a local militant Saleem, are behind both these killings", the SP said.
"The people of Hajin have deep love with Jihad and Mujahideen".
So far, police have identified the militants as - Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider.
Last year, the security forces killed several top Lashkar commanders, including the nephew of Lashkar-e-Toiba chief and alleged mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, in Hajin and claimed to have wiped off the entire leadership of Lashkar.
Former chief minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah criticised the silence of spearatist leaders over the incident.
Later, police was immediately informed and the body was taken away by police for identification, sources said adding later the deceased was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat. "I'm not surprised", he tweeted.
