Mindy Kaling got 'the most useful' parenting advice from Reese Witherspoon

We were already aware that Oprah Winfrey is a wonder woman. It's amusing because I didn't know when you have a baby that you're gonna be up every three hours. This just proves that all the more. I'm thinking of you. "I'll return e-mails and say, 'Thank you so much". I had a kid, I'm a single mom.

Rather than pick something extravagant for her answer, Mindy - who welcomed her first child, a daughter named Katherine, into the world in December - decided on an answer that was closer to present day. "All you want in life is to hear that two men in a U-Haul truck are coming to your house because Oprah sent them".

"Over text message, Reese talked me through how to carry an infant vehicle seat on the airplane", she told People. Kaling stated. "Oprah's present to me was a hand-carved bookcase packed with 100 of the essential children's books of all literature, and each book was inscribed with a little sticker that said "Katherine's Book Club" - like 'Oprah's Book Club.' The bookcase was carved in the shape of an old-timey castle". Friends like Colbert, who send her really nice, antiquated infant gowns as a baby shower present.
