The film, which will hit the screens on April 27, features Santhosh Narayanan's music, A Sreekar Prasad's editing and Murali G's cinematography. The film's director Ranjith says that Rajinikanth wanted him to do a sequel to Kabali but the personal experiences in Dharavi inspired the filmmaker to write a fresh script. Earlier the makers have announced the teaser will be released on 1 March. As a mark of respect, the film's teaser will be now releasing on March 2nd instead of March 1st. Wunderbar Films is producing Kaala while Lyca Productions is releasing the film worldwide in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. A part of Kaala was shot in Mumbai in the summer of 2017. Superstar Rajini is supposed to appear in a gangster role in this flick. The actual storyline will be coming into knowledge soon after watching the teaser.
