Snapchat: 'We Completely Understand' the Redesign Hate

Posted February 22, 2018

"There is a general level of annoyance among users and many have made a decision to use a VPN app, or are using other risky apps or steps, to go back to the old Snapchat as that's how annoying this new update has become". Remember in the beginning of this year Instagram added GIF stickers to the Stories?

Animated stickers can be used with any combination of other effects. Well, Snapchat has too rolled out a new feature, which does exactly that.

The Giphy addition appears to be Snap's move to help Snapchat keep pace with Instagram.

The company went on to say that "the new Friends page will adapt to you and get smarter over time, reflecting who you're most likely to be snapping with at that moment".

Some users even tweeted at the Snapchat Support account to ask how to use the feature in the redesigned app because they couldn't find it.

Before this lovely partnership, Snapchat had in-house designed stickers that launched in late 2017.

You can also scale, rate, and pin these GIFs to videos. Sourced from Giphy, the new feature allows users to add GIFs to their Snapchat stories. With this feature, users will be able to separate out items for easier discovery and browsing, especially among the huge Discover content section.

Snapchat's response came after more than 1.2 million users signed a petition on Change.org, demanding that the company undo its recent design changes.

A couple of weeks ago, Snapchat woke up to a flood of netizens criticizing the platform for a design change it had introduced. The new layout was meant to simplify things for users, bringing stories, group chats, and subscriptions all into one place, unfortunately, they missed the mark.

Meanwhile, Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel noted to be stick with his promise to shape Snapchat more convenient for its users and making improvements on new redesign according to the reviews.
