Mass killer Charles Manson gravely ill in prison

Posted November 17, 2017

Charles Manson is in the hospital and, as one source familiar with his situation tells TMZ, "it's not going to get any better for him".

Our sources say Manson's health has been steadily deteriorating and, as it was put to us, "It's just a matter of time".

"Charles Manson is alive", Krissi Khokhobashvili a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed, declining to comment on the killer's health and hospitalization because of state and medical privacy laws.

In early January, Manson was already transported from the California prison to the hospital.

The head of the Manson Family was found guilty in 1971 of orchestrating the murders of seven people, including actress Sharon Tate.

Tate, the wife of director Roman Polanski, was 8 1/2 months pregnant when she was killed at her hilltop home in Benedict Canyon on August 9, 1969.

All members of the "Family" were sentenced to death.

The Times reported Manson's condition is unclear. All of his parole petitions ended with officials denying his release.
