The developers at CD Projekt Red gave fans of the series a fan service video of Geralt with numerous main and side characters from the third game at a party, speaking to the players directly, as well as a behind-the-scenes video of the making of "The Wild Hunt" which is hilarious. More so to anyone who has played all of CDPR's games over the years. But without spoiling anything else, here it is. While minor design choices keep it from being absolutely ideal, The Witcher 3 will go down as one of the best games of this generation of consoles.
October 26 marks the ten-year anniversary of the original Witcher game's debut on the PC. So, in order to celebrate this very special occasion, CD Projekt has prepared some kind of anniversary video. Its 2011 follow up, Assassins of Kings sold more than 1.7m units. Moreover, it's DLC: Blood and Wine continued winning awards a year later. Wild Hunt is undoubtedly the most critically acclaimed of all three games, and it's not exactly common for a franchise to go out on such a high note.
For some, this will be the true ending to the last installment. It showed us that a game which was "nearly" flawless was possible to make. Still, CD Projekt RED hasn't moved on completely from the wider Witcher universe yet.
Whether this is just a nice video for the fans or a hint at something larger that might be appearing nearer the actual anniversary date remains to be seen.
