The cast of Justice League will be joining forces at 2017 Comic-Con today (July 22) and Gal Gadot shared a selfie of the cast boarding their private plane en route to San Diego! It doesn't matter that the film's (highly-talented) director is a woman.
Wonder Woman is not a feminist movie.
Wonder Woman is getting a sequel.
Raking in about US$767.7 million worldwide since its premiere in early June, Wonder Woman has been the DC Universe's most profitable adaptation yet, breaking records for director Patty Jenkins as the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman.
Momoa also debuted the first look at the standalone "Aquaman" movie, and revealed the aquatic superhero will be battling his brother, the supervillain Ocean Master, in the film due out next year. Gal teased her fans when she shared an instagram post with co-stars Ben Affleck, Ray Fisher, and Ezra Miller before heading for Comic-con. A release date has not been announced. Honestly, I'm grateful that you guys have made her who she is and made this movie so, so, so successful.
One actress who could have been basking in all of this Wonder Woman glory is Charlize Theron.
As for Jenkins herself, as of Saturday afternoon after the sequel's confirmation, she was tweeting out positive responses to "Wonder Woman" fans about cosplay and compliments they gave the movie, but keeping mum on any sequel news. "Now I want to make 'Wonder Woman 2.' It's a handsome story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love".
