Woman gangraped, thrown out of vehicle in Greater Noida

A woman who was allegedly raped by three men in a moving auto on the outskirts of Delhi was driven through several parts of the capital and its suburbs before she was she was thrown from the vehicle onto the road, she has told the police. The police found her lying on a road in Greater Noida and took her to hospital.

The woman was abducted from near her house in Gurugram district around 8.30pm by three men in a Swift vehicle.

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Siddhartha Nath Singh on Tuesday expressed sorrow over the recent Greater Noida gangrape incident and said the police would help the Haryana Police as much as possible to nab the culprits. She was then referred to Government hospital as it was case of gangrape, said a police official.

She shared the story of what happened with locals who informed police in Gautam Budh Nagar.

According to police, they found out about the incident from a passerby.

"A team of Noida Police has been sent to Sohna to probe further into the matter". The three men are believed to have abducted the 35-year-old from Gurugram's Sohna locality and sexually assaulted her for eight hours, Hindustan Times reported.

The woman told the police that she originally hailed from Bharatpur in Rajasthan. However, no FIR has been lodged yet. A team of Greater Noida police brought the victim to Sector 29 police station in Gurgaon.

"Working on CCTV footage and other important info, trying to get in touch with victim's family", he added. The Police have registered a case and have begun its investigations.
