Trump Tweets His Frustration With Russia Investigation

Posted June 19, 2017

US President Donald Trump early Sunday morning hurled a series of testy tweets defending his crisis-ridden presidency, once again decrying the "witch hunt" against him.

"Many new jobs, high business enthusiasm", he wrote Sunday, also pointing to his successful nomination of conservative justice Neil Gorsuch to the top United States court.

President Trump has been described by advisers and confidents as angry over the probe into possible ties between his campaign and Russian Federation, yelling at television sets at the White House with coverage of the probe, according to an Associated Press report Friday.

Trump advisers describe the president as increasingly angry over the investigation, yelling at television sets carrying coverage and insisting he is the target of a conspiracy.

On Sunday, Trump also called Rasmussen "one of the most accurate polls" of the 2016 election, but they inaccurately predicted a Clinton electoral college victory - as many polls did. "That's higher than O's #'s!"

Real Clear Politics puts Trump's approval rating at 40 percent, taking an average from a number of polls including Rasmussen, Gallup (39 percent), CNBC (37 percent), and Quinnipiac (34 percent). He was the least-popular president-elect in modern history back in January, and he had a dismal approval rating after his first 100 days-the lowest of any president since Dwight Eisenhower.

According to the poll's latest figures, 31% strongly of his performance, while 42% disapprove.
