When you turn on Do Not Disturb While Driving, iOS 11 will silence alert and notifications while keeping the screen dark. iOS 11 will use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to measure that you're moving in a vehicle and if so, to suggest activating the feature. The news that Apple is assisting United Kingdom law enforcement is not surprising but comes at a pivotal time. Soon after the announcement Amazon tweeted, "You asked (a lot)".

Apple Pay will be available in 50 percent of retailers in the USA by end of year.

Apple also announced that watchOS 4, the next version of its smartwatch platform, will be arriving in September. It includes new features for watchfaces, such as complications updating based on time of day or location and a new Siri-based watchface.

Though Apple hasn't replaced the USB ports it removed from MacBook Pro last year, the entry level model (without its new Touch Bar) has been reduced to $1,299 - $200 less than it cost on its release last year.

The new iPad Pro models are already available to order in markets including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Apple also made a significant update to its iPad Pro range, with a new 10.5-inch model. As promised, Apple finally unveiled its next operating system that will greatly enhance iPads and iPhones, the iOS 11.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Smart Keyboard is available in charcoal gray for US$159 for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and US$169 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with layouts for over 30 languages, including simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
