Sachin: A Billion Dreams: Tendulkar's biopic gets tax exemption in Odisha

The Indian cricket team will be coming together to watch the special screening of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's biography "Sachin: A Billion Dreams".

State Finance Minister Shashi Bhusan Behera announced this afternoon that the movie "Sachin: A Billion Dreams" will be tax free for audience at theaters across the state as the cricket legend is an inspiration for youth.

The Master Blaster has earned huge fans within the Bollywood and a proof of which could be seen in the excitement they share for the release of his biographical drama, Sachin: A billion dreams. The film features Tendulkar's cricket and personal life, as well as reveals few clandestine aspects of his life.

Commenting on the association, Ravi Bhagchandka, producer, 200 Not Out, said, "Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a very special project for us". The film will release this Friday, May 26, 2017. The movie follows crescendos of Tendulkar's life- ranging from his determinations as a child, his superstitions, love life to his last bow for the Indian national cricket team.

Actor Farhan Akhtar also posted a sweet message for Sachin Tendulkar along with a picture of a magazine cover autographed by him.

As Sachin, also known as the god of cricket has always been a source of inspiration to youth, the Odisha Finance Minister decided to make entertainment tax free on Sachin: A billion dream. Sachin's wife Dr. Anjali Tendulkar too was present at the special screening of her husband's biopic.
