Samsung announces the Galaxy J3 (2017) priced at $180

When the Galaxy Note 7 came with the minor caveat of spontaneously exploding on the spot, it looked likely that Samsung would cast the handset into the smartphone graveyard of epic failures. The hazardous handsets were pulled out of the shelves in a move that cost Samsung billions.

Samsung, only recently, launched the Z4 smartphone. Be sure to let us know in the comments section below.

The Galaxy S8 smartphones feature high resolution displays that bend on both sides and come with various innovative technologies, such as iris and face recognition scanners, and a smart voice assistance program named Bixby. That has fueled further speculation about a virtual home button like the one on the iPhone, but getting rid of it sounds like a bit of a stretch to some experts.

New camera and audio functionality has also been built into the 835, and it promises to make a massive contribution to what should be an exciting Galaxy Note 8 release.

Other possible features of the Galaxy Note 8 include the use of the latest Android Nougat operating system and the inclusion of Bixby, Samsung's own digital assistant. The better location of the feature should be either at the center of the Galaxy Note 8's back or embedded underneath the display. The Note will have the trademark S Pen stylus though, we'd imagine.

Sporting a 2600mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is rated to deliver up to 23 hours of talk time, and up to 17 days of standby time. You can choose between the Midnight Black and Maple Gold color option, while the Arctic Silver model is listed as out of stock. However, Samsung might release a Snapdragon version of the phone sometime in the future. It was somewhat surprising given that experts expected the company to have some sort of recovery period to rearrange their pieces after the Note 7 disaster.

Cheap mid-range phones are a hit in emerging markets like India and the rest of Asia. The picture also reveals the specifications of the smartphone.
