Saw Kejriwal taking Rs 2 crore cash; Sisodia says baseless allegations

Minutes after ousted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra revealed that he saw Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal being given Rs. two crore by Cabinet Minister Satyendra Jain, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia flatly rejected the charges as absurd and baseless.

The day before yesterday I saw Satyendar Jain handing out Rs 2 crore cash to Arvind Kejriwal. "Arvind Kejriwal told me such things happen in politics", Mishra said at his press conference.

Mishra took to Twitter to say that "i have witnessed HIM taking illegal cash. have shared all details with Lt. Gov." without naming the person.

- Speaking to ANI, Union Sports Minister and BJP leader Vijay Goel lashed out at the "honest" AAP, alleging the party during its tenure has looted the people of Delhi.

Earlier on Saturday, shortly after being removed from the Delhi Cabinet, Mishra said he may have been axed for saying he would submit the names of those people involved in the tanker scam to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). "All the agencies at centre's disposal have been unleashed against Aam Aadmi Party, its government in Delhi and its ministers which is very unsafe for democracy", the statement added.

The Home Ministry has asked the Aam Aadmi Party to provide complete information on funds received from overseas sources, said reports.

Kailash Gahlot, MLA from Najafgarh, will replace sacked minister Kapil Mishra.

Meanwhile, Sisodia responded to the allegations made by Mishra and said: "His (Mishra's) allegations are not even worth responding to".

Soon after the move, Mishra had claimed he would "expose" the involvement of certain AAP leaders in an alleged scam on Sunday. "No one will believe them", Sisodia told the media. Raising questions over the timing of his outster, Mishra claimed that he was sacked after he spoke out against the corruption within the AAP party. "I exposed Shiela's (Dixit) corruption", Mishra tweeted.

It had also suspended Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan who had accused Vishwas of crafting a coup against the party. The charges made by Mishra are very serious and can not be dismissed.

The report which was sent to the Prime Minister and Lieutenant Governor of Delhi in June 2016 by the Kapil Mishra-led committee recommended an FIR against former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit by the CBI or the ACB.
