Caffeinated bagels now exist and they taste like espresso

Now, thanks to Einstein Bros. your favorite morning combo is available in the form of one super breakfast item dubbed the Espresso Buzz-the world's first caffeinated bagel.

If you've ever felt the need to double-fist your coffee, this bagel company has you covered.

A bagel chain in the USA has given its latest creation a shot in the arm, and Millennials are to thank - or blame.

The bread looks like a pumpernickel bagel, and gets its caffeine from espresso and flour made from the pulp of coffee cherries.

That bagel contains about a third of the caffeine in an 8-ounce cup of regular coffee, which is not that much for the caffeine addicts.

Two words: Caffeinated carbs.

"We have watched the coffee category expand and adapt as millennials converted to coffee drinkers, attracted by the smoother flavor and artisanal characteristics and third- and fourth-wave coffee", she told Fox.

Early returns on the espresso bagel? Bagels, you can drink your coffee and eat it, too. People either love it, or they prefer to stick to their hot coffee and leave the espresso infusions to other people.

The Cherry Chia is vegan, contains Omega-3 chia seeds and oats, and is loaded with 11g of protein. In the meantime, one thing is clear: We live in the future, folks, and that means methods of caffeine consumption are only going to get weirder from here on out.
