Transformers and the Resident Evil remaster highlight October's free PlayStation Plus games

Posted September 29, 2016

Sony announces an impressive PlayStation Plus line-up for October.

The free games being offered to PlayStation Plus members for October 2016 have been revealed, and you can see what they are below.

Six new games will be added to the extensive PlayStation Plus library, with access unlocked on the first Tuesday of the month - October 4 in this case. Worry not, PlayStation system owners - the publisher has come through in spades with a number of great games. October brings Resident Evil and Transformers.

PlayStation 3 owners with an active PlayStation Plus subscription will soon be able to get their hands on From Dust, a terrain-shifting simulation game from Another World creator Eric Chahi. Activision's Transformers: Devastation will also be free of charge. If nerve-shredding thrills and spills aren't your cup of tea, Transformers: Devastation is arguably one of the better licensed games to hail from developer Platinum Games in recent years, after the middling disappointments of both Mutants in Manhattan and The Legend of Korra.

Over on PS3, Techland's ATV racer Mad Riders and Ubisoft's god game From Dust are the free offerings.

Released for the PlayStation 4 in 2015, Resident Evil HD Remaster is a visually updated version of Capcom's classic survival horror game Resident Evil.
