The season premiere, which airs on October 1, will be hosted by actress Margot Robbie and features musical guest The Weeknd.

Yankovic also posted a backstage shot, which included Miranda, comedian Michael Ian Black and Saturday Night Live alum Taran Killam.

Werk! Tony, Emmy, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-award victor Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to emcee NBC's Saturday Night Live on October 8.

The episode will air October 8, and Miranda will be joined by musical guest Twenty One Pilots. According to Miranda, they "Truly believed [their] screams made Yoda happen", citing the evening as the best moment-up until then, at least- of his life. Will he rap his monologue? Miranda created and starred in "Hamilton", the Broadway sensation about the first USA treasury secretary. Will we get to talk about Miranda's love of the complex and thrilling children's show, Chuggington?

Hamilton mastermind Miranda has a plethora of projects on the horizon. I guess you could say Miranda didn't.throw.away.his shot.

Miranda hasn't just ruled Broadway. He was the show's composer and lyricist, so "SNL" fans could be treated to new music as well.

Of course with solid hosts like Lin-Manuel Miranda, the new cast members should have no trouble settling into their new roles.
